A Kitchen Box: The Sweet Paul Box

$30.00

Description

Our days have been filled with sunshine and summer…. and berries and popsicles. We’ve been fans of Paul Lowe of Sweet Paul for the past several years as we’ve watched his blog grow into an online magazine then cheered him on as the Sweet Paul Magazine launched at Anthropologie. We knew that one day, we wanted to work with him and partnering on this box has been a dream for us; to be honest, we’re more than a little star struck.

We came of age in the kitchen during the era of perfection. The perfect plate. The perfect canapé. The perfect table setting. And, as we’ve matured, we’ve lightened up. When hours run short and family needs run long, we appreciate Paul’s manifesto…“I’ve adopted my grandmother’s motto, ‘fullkommenhet er kjedelig…’ which means “perfection is boring,” and I have incorporated it and her sheer joy of creating into everything I do.” The fun is in the creating, crafting, and enjoying the sweet things and not so much in perfection.

The featured song Happy Pop by Elizabeth & The Catapult just might be the best complement to the boozie and fruity popsicles featured in the Summer Sweet Paul Magazine. We’ve sent all the tools you need to make popsicles today. And, we encourage you to make Sweet Paul’s Blueberry Thousand Layer Cake this weekend. The beauty is that it’s quite impressive yet simple and doesn’t require fussy, perfect frosting.
