Pharrell Williams is a creative force, using music, fashion, and design to express his distinctive style. From his beginnings as a teenage prodigy and multi-instrumentalist in early-’90s Virginia Beach, to being named Billboard’s Producer of the Decade in 2010, Williams has never stopped creating.
As one half of The Neptunes (with Chad Hugo), Williams helped create such classics as Nelly’s “Hot in Herre,” Jay-Z’s “I Just Wanna Love U (Give it 2 Me),” Britney Spears’ “I’m A Slave 4 U,” Justin Timberlake’s “Like I Love You,” and Snoop Dogg’s “Beautiful.” Williams, Hugo and Shay Haley also recorded four albums as N.E.R.D., creating an unpredictable alt-rock/hip-hop hybrid.
His prolific body of work ranges from designing a sculpture with artist Takashi Murakami to accessories and jewelry for Louis Vuitton.
